Hi, I’m Ilya, and I grew up in Estonia where stepping into a sauna isn’t just a luxury—it’s a way of life. Back home, sauna culture runs deep. It’s where families gather, friends reconnect, and stress melts away with every drop of sweat. When I moved to Minnesota, I quickly realized something: if there’s anywhere in America that needs sauna culture, it’s here.
Long, cold winters. Tight muscles from shoveling snow. The cabin fever that sets in around February. Sound familiar? I knew the answer, because I’d lived it my whole life—a good, honest sauna session.
Why I Built Baltica Sauna
Custom Built
I couldn’t find the authentic sauna experience I was looking for, so I decided to create it myself. I custom-built a traditional 12-foot barrel sauna using pure hemlock wood—no chemicals, no shortcuts. Just honest craftsmanship and a wood-burning stove that creates the kind of heat that reaches into your bones.
This isn’t about fancy spa gimmicks. It’s about bringing you the real deal: the crackling of birch wood, the ritual of heating stones, the steam rising as you pour water over them. It’s about creating that moment where everything else fades away and it’s just you, the heat, and maybe a few good friends.

We’re proud to serve the Saint Paul area and beyond. All rentals include free delivery and pickup within 30 miles of Saint Paul, MN. Venturing further out?
No problem—we charge just $2 per mile each way beyond that radius. We serve the greater Minnesota and Wisconsin area because everyone deserves to experience this.
